I have started the tax return item of my 101 list. I wanted to start and complete this last weekend but they have sent me a code in the post so I need to wait until I get this till I can complete it. A bit annoying as I was hoping to have it done by now, but I will just have to wait.
I found my butterfly bracelet that I need to get a link taken out of, so that can be put into progress on my list for when I have the money to get it done.
This weekend I am planning on cleaning my car which will mean putting a 'one' next to this item. I am giving my parents a lift to a wedding next weekend, so don't want them getting into a dirty car in nice clothes. I can then also make use of the car cleaning stuff I bought with good intentions about 4 months ago!Lol.

I have added on 3 new items today;
To go and see Dirty Dancing in the theatre in London.
To find my butterfly bracelet that I got from my brother and his girlfriend for my 21st 3 and a half years ago and get a link taken out as it's too big to wear at the moment. It's so pretty and I feel so bad that I haven't done this yet.
Complete the 2 puzzles that I have.
It's amazing how I keep thinking of things because I wasn't sure if I would be able to think of 101 things.

List Changes after some thoughts
Well it's been over a month since I posted. I knew I wouldn't keep up with it as much I was sort of planning, so I will just have to keep trying to post more often.
I was recently thinking about my list and decided the items about finding me were, for my list personally, were not very measurable and it's more of a thing I am always going to be learning as I get older, so I have taken out all of the finding me items and put it under one item of 'taking time to find myself and don't be afraid of what other people think'. That way, it is more of a personal journey whilst still keeping an element of this in the list, to remind myself I need to do this and to not be afraid of what others think. I have been working on this, telling myself not be bothered of what other people think, and I am starting to feel I am getting into it, and it feels good. I have heard as you get older, you tend not to be so bothered about what others think, and I think at least most of the time, this is a good thing. I'm happy that I am learning to be me more and I am actually liking being me more than I thought I would.
I have replaced items on my list with things such as reminiscing about my past, as I love this kind of thing, thinking about my past and looking through old memories makes me happy. I have been very lucky with the way my life has turned out so far which has made great memories, and I have lots of family and friends and my lovely boyfriend that i've been able to share the past, the present and will be able to share the future with. I still have items left blank and I will fill them when I think of something.
I am hoping to complete, or at least start my tax return this weekend, then I will be on the way to completing, or will have completed an item on my list.
I do really need to start getting off my bum and do more to get this list completed. Sometimes, especially when it comes to trying to make and save extra money to do things I want to do and pay off debts, I feel a bit scared incase it's hard or I can't do it, but I need to believe more in myself, becasue I know I can do this!

Just Over Week One
It's now been just over a week since I started the 101 challenge and I am making better progress in some areas than I thought I would.
During the first weekend of the challenge, I gave myself a little pampering session when OH was out. A nice relaxing bath, making legs smooth and I treated my feet with some nice foot things I got for Christmas (this was the first time I used it). The flip flop style slippers in the pack are sooooooo comfy, I wish they were normal slippers!
OH and I have started saving for Vegas next Feb so that's now in progress. Got £40 so far! :) Been looking at what we can get the holiday for and getting some good prices.
I have learnt how to change a bulb in the back lights of my car as we thought one was out, so my Dad was showing me how to change it, but it seems to be working again, so that's one car mechanical thing I can tick off. I know it's only a light bulb but i'm actually very proud, lol.
I have contacted and/or seen both my brothers, though it was my younger brothers birthday and I was going round there to stay at the weekend while OH was away so not sure that counts, but I will count it anyway.
I have had the girls night I wanted with my girly friends at home, my first one in my own place, so I actually have the first thing I can completely cross off! Yay :) We had takeaway, watched some telly and had some girly talk, which was really nice.
I have also paid the rest if my credit card off :) I now need to start saving to pay OH the money he lent me to pay the other part of the card, bless him.
I'm not sure how well I have been keeping up with my fruit eating, to be honest I sort of forgot to count and make sure that I was doing it. The same goes for the walking every week. To be honest (again) I forgot about it. I don't think I have started doing the go to bed by 11pm once a week and get up by half 6 twice a week either, keeping forgetting that too. I have quite alot of things I am doing and want to do, I think I need to find the right balance.
I think all in all I have done ok for the amount I have done for it being over just one week. I did some things without actually realising I was working on the list. As I said though, I think I need to start finding the right balance and get more organised, which is another item on the list I can start working on :)

The 1001 days begins
After much time on the Money Saving Expert website (on which I still use and regularly post on) I came across the 101 things in 1001 days challenge. After some deliberation over whether I had the time to do this, whether I would keep up with it, some chats with fellow MSE'ers and some inspiration from the 101 in 1001 site, I decided I would give it a go and i'm now really excited about it! I have put my list below for everyone to see and I will change the colour of the items as I am doing and have completed them, though some will probably be in progress for a long time as they are items I will continue doing a I grow. I have left some blank as I can't think of anything else at the moment and it may be a good idea to have some blank for when I find something I want to do or find I am interested in something or even for things I thought about putting down but didn't know if I would have time to do them. There may also be some amendments in the future to the list if I change my mind about items. I don't know how much I will blog or keep up with blogging on my progress as I have never been a blogger before, but we will see what happens. My 101 things in 1001 days starts Saturday 23rd May 2009 and ends Saturday 18th February 2012
